Finally feel mentally free inside your own home.
Room Refresh takes a psychology-based approach to letting go of the stuff that's been taking up every room, so your home feels lighter and you get to actually live in it again.

Picture this...
You walk in after a long day and you don’t see a to-do list. You see your house.
The garage is where the car goes. The guest room is for guests. The dining table is for dinner. Every room in your home is doing what it was designed to do, and everything in it is there on purpose, because you decided it belongs there.
Your sentimental things are down to the few you love, and you enjoy them for what they are instead of feeling anxious every time you see them. A friend texts “can I pop by?” and you type back “yes” without looking around first.
On a Saturday, you spend the day with your family or just rest, instead of feeling like you have to work on the house before you can relax.
If you're reading this thinking this might work for someone else, but my basement is a different story, this is for you.
More than 5,000 people are clearing out their homes inside Room Refresh right now.
Most of them started out frozen, embarrassed, overwhelmed and wondering why they couldn't just ‘get organized.’
Nothing about them was broken or needed fixing.
Nothing about you is either.
I was exactly where you are
Before I was a professional organizer, I was a mom of two with a full-time job, ADHD, and a house that was a mess behind every closed door. From the outside it looked fine. Inside, I couldn’t find anything, I was embarrassed to have people over, and every weekend I promised myself this would be the one where I finally accomplished something.
One Saturday in December my family wanted to go skiing. I spent an hour searching everywhere for boots and mitts and goggles I couldn’t find, and the longer I looked, the more anxious I got, until it tipped into panic. So I told them to go without me. I'd stay home and get organized, and with the house to myself, I thought I could finally get it done.
I waved from the garage door like it was fine. Then I walked back inside, looked around, and had no idea where to start. I picked things up and put them back down. Every single thing needed a decision, and I couldn’t make one. I felt paralyzed. Ten hours went by. They came home in the dark and I had done nothing except miss a whole day with my kids.
That night, while I was reading to my daughter, she looked up and said, “I hope you’re not too busy getting organized next time, so you can come with us.”
Well, that hurt.
I ran a bath and cried behind the bathroom door so no one would hear me. I felt ashamed. I felt like I was drowning. When it came to my house I felt completely incapable and so frustrated with myself.
Sitting there, I saw it for the first time. My kids were growing up, and my stuff was getting my weekends instead of them. I had spent years trying to manage all of it. I had never once tried letting it go.
I got out of the bath and wrote down one sentence:
I choose me over my stuff.
The next morning I stopped waiting for a free weekend and let go of one pile of toys instead. With every single thing I let go of after that, I felt a little lighter. And then a little lighter again.
Sixteen years and thousands of client homes later, Room Refresh is everything I learned about why letting go is so hard, and how to actually do it.

[ WHAT YOU GET ]
Everything inside Room Refresh
Whatever got your house here, there’s a “Watch This First” video for it, and it shows you where to start
Most people are stuck before they touch a single thing, because their brain looks at the whole house and shuts down. These videos meet you where you are with your real life situations, like:
- Downsizing or moving
- Helping a parent downsize
- Stuff on every surface in every room
- Chronic illness or ADHD
- Sentimentality with inherited items
- A family that doesn't help
- Not enough time
A video for every room where
I work right beside you.
This is called body doubling. You press play, I work through the same kind of space at the same time, and you follow along. Your brain borrows my calm and gets started, even on a day you’d never start on your own.
A written guide for every room
in the house
Kitchen and pantry, bathroom, closets, bedrooms, living room, office and paperwork, playroom, storage room, garage, and more. Each guide walks you through what you’ll usually find in there (the photo albums, the inherited china, the paperwork, the mystery cords), where people get stuck, and what to say to yourself to get through it. Every guide is broken into steps small enough to finish in one sitting, and you can do the rooms in any order.
The psychology underneath
all of it.
- Why your brain freezes when you look at the basement, and how to start anyway.
- Why your partner walks past the pile and doesn’t see it.
- A gentler way through sentimental things.
- The three questions that turn an hour of agonizing into a few seconds.
All of it explained in plain words, built by someone with ADHD for brains that work like mine.
The GoSimplified Community, where you never do this alone
This is where the live part happens. I teach live workshops on the hard stuff, like grief, guilt, and the "I might need it" voice. I host two live calls a month where you can ask me anything about your actual house. We run live body-doubling sessions where you work on your space at the same time as other members. I bring in guest experts (clinical psychologists, home stylists) for live Q&As. And I’m in there every single day, answering questions.
Avery Murphy, in the middle of a move, tried everything before
“Meg is different because she is there with you along the journey. Having someone to actually talk to has really helped this stick. No other program offers this or the real life support she does. She teaches that it's not laziness or lack of motivation, there are legitimate science reasons why we get stuck.”

Melissa, waited six months to join
“My only regret is not starting sooner. Within the first week, Meg helped me recognize why I hold on to things. I’ve still got lots of rooms ahead, but for once, I’m excited about the process instead of dreading it. Room Refresh has been transformational for me. :) “Would I buy this tomorrow if I got rid of it today?” has changed my life and how I look at my “home depot” of a house ;) Giving up the “managerial” role this year being a part of your program! You're already such a blessing to so many, I can't wait for more to find you. Thank you for everything!!!”

Debbie stuck for years
“I thought I knew how to declutter but never seemed able to start. I was stuck and kept telling myself I’ll do it when I have the time. There are many, many posts on social media about decluttering and organizing but they don’t motivate me. I’ve come to understand I was my own biggest obstacle.
Through Room Refresh, I experienced the most significant change by understanding the psychology behind why I could not let go of things. Room Refresh with all of the helpful questions to ask myself; the ‘body-doubling’ videos and other resources has given me what I needed to start. With each project I’ve undertaken, I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders and most importantly, the momentum to continue.”

Carol, started small and found her momentum
“I watched and listened to kitchen video you gave us and wow, it was a good view of what to do. So today I started the Bathroom refresh. However, after 10 minutes I just couldn’t stop and wound up working in there 2 hours. Filled a bag with recycling and 2 with trash. I’m just so ready to get my place in order so I feel better about it, myself and can eventually have company. Thank you!”

Jana, finally dealt with what needed to go
“Megan, I learned so much from you when I took the course. You created a safe place for those of us who needed clarity with our possessions, each for their own reason and yet we all were striving toward the same goal, peace and clarity. Having some health issues has motivated me to finally deal with what needs to be dealt with in order to achieve that goal. For me, it was not a space issue, it was an issue of having more quantity than what I need or use.
There were many layers involved and you addressed each of them. The bottom line is the feeling of great relief, resulting in a lovely space that looks as great as it functions. Thank you Megan. I appreciate all of your insight, guidance and advice.”
Jana De Jong
Christy, found the push she needed to start
“Thank you, Meghan. I started right after the video ended. I watched and worked, watched and worked. I did two walls in the living room that were piled with stuff. I did the double sink in the kitchen, one half was piled high with dishes and also did parts of the counter on either side. In the bathroom, I started throwing away. I am still on what is visible.”

Why this works when nothing else has
You’ve probably tried before. You bought the bins first, and the bins became one more thing to store. You read the book that told you to hold each item and ask if it sparks joy, and that fell apart at the first box of your mom’s things. You gave up a whole weekend to purge the basement and it looked worse on Sunday night than it did on Friday.
Then the house filled back up, and you were left with the same question you started with: why does none of this stick?
Here’s why.
Every method you’ve tried was built for a person with unlimited time, no feelings about her things, and a nervous system that stays calm in a cluttered room. Room Refresh is built for the person who freezes.
Why you freeze.
When you stand in a room full of unmade decisions, your brain reads it as a threat and shuts down. This is a freeze response, and it has nothing to do with laziness. We work around it by starting small enough that your brain never gets the chance to panic.
Why your partner doesn’t see it.
Every person has a different amount of visual clutter they can tolerate before it registers as stress. Yours might be low. Your partner’s might be high, meaning it doesn’t bother them. Once you understand this, the fights about the counter make more sense.
Why big projects never happen.
Before you start anything, your brain guesses how much effort it will take. A whole basement scores so high that your brain stops you before you begin, and “I’ll do it this weekend” never happens. We break every room into pieces small enough that your brain can start, finish and wants to do more.
Why you hang on
Most of what's filling your house is there because of money you already spent, memories you’re scared to lose, or a “just in case” that never comes. Letting go is a skill your brain can learn, and Room Refresh teaches it.
Why you can start today.
When you work alongside someone else, even on a screen, your brain settles and gets going. People with ADHD have used this for years and call it body doubling. Every room in Room Refresh comes with a video of me working right beside you, so you never have to start alone.

Once you understand what your brain is actually doing, you stop blaming yourself and start working with it.
This is FOR YOU if...
- You walk into a room to start, feel super overwhelmed and you walk right back out.
- You run the whole household, and by the time you finally get a minute to yourself, you don't have the energy left to decide about one more thing.
- Someone you love is gone, and their things are all you have left of them.
- A parent passed and you inherited a whole life in boxes, and it's yours to deal with now.
- You’re helping a parent who’s still here downsize, and they fight you on every single thing.
- You’ve been in the same house for twenty-five years and you want to downsize but have trouble letting go.
- You lie awake thinking about your kids having to go through all of your stuff one day.
- Life just changed, a move, a divorce, a new baby, retirement, and your house is still set up for the life you had before.
- You’re living with an illness, and whatever energy you have goes to getting through the day.
- You were raised not to waste anything, and throwing something out feels like doing something wrong.
- New things keep coming in faster than anything goes out.
- You have ADHD and every system you’ve tried wasn’t built for your brain.
- You can’t start unless you can do it perfectly, so you don't start.
- Your family adds to it faster than you can clear it, and you're the only one who even sees it.
- Your house looks fine from the outside. Every closet, drawer, and storage room is a different story.
- You have a small house with almost no storage and every tip you read only applies to huge houses.
- You’ve tried before, more than once, and you've stopped trusting yourself to finish.
- You stopped having people over and you miss it.
If you can relate to even one of these, Room Refresh will work for you.
All The Tools You deserve this
You’ve spent years managing the stuff, cleaning around it, apologizing for it, and planning to deal with it some other weekend.
Here’s what’s on the other side.
Peace.
Walking into your own house and feeling your shoulders drop instead of your chest tighten.
Time that’s yours.
Evenings where you sit down. Saturdays with your family instead of another day of “I can relax once the house is organized.”
Being present.
Actually hearing your kid's story at dinner, because half your brain isn't thinking about the pile in the next room.
No more guilt.
The gift you never used, your mom’s dishes, the just-in-case bin. All of it decided, and none of it on your mind anymore.
A door you open without warning.
Someone texts “can I pop by?” and you say yes, because the house is already yours to show.
Trusting yourself again.
One finished space, then another, until you’re someone who finishes things. That changes how you feel about yourself everywhere, not just at home.
Your kids never having to sort through it.
The decisions get made now, by you, instead of later, by them.
You’e been managing all of this for years.
This is where it stops.
